Configuring a router normally involves creating a port-forward for port 5900

FYI, on the bad session I minimised vncviewer at 17:09:52 and
unminimised it at 17:15:11.
Thanks

We're working on Solaris x86 builds but they won't be available for a while
yet.
Building VNC Free Edition from source on Solaris x86 is fairly painless
until you get to the stage of building the X server, so you may wish to try
that if you're in a hurry!

Joel,
What reason for disconnecting the viewer does the server give in its log
file? (Look for a line starting Connections: closed).

John,
Error 10061 means that the machine who's IP address you specified does not
have a VNC Server running on it. This might be because you're specifying
the wrong IP address, or the wrong port/display number, or because there
really is no server running.

Robert,
You need to upgrade the Java Virtual Machine on the Mac. This is a known
behaviour with older versions of the VM that appears to have been fixed in
more recent builds.

Assuming that you're referring to VNC Free Edition, you'll need to ensure
that you comply with the requirements of the GPL, in particular with respect

Karen,
The reason vncconfig doesn't get run by your xstartup file is that the
second command you run in it is an exec! After an exec, it'll never get a
chance to run any commands, since it's been completely replaced by whatever
script you told the shell to replace it with (in this case xinitrc).
Oskar,
Assuming that you're killing your previous VNC servers with vncserver -kill,
rather than just repeatedly connecting to the same one, you're getting a
seemingly persistent grey X session because your chosen window manager
isn't actually running. Check the VNC server's log file for error

To answer: vnc uses the error codes.
By the way, any chance that file transfer will be included this year?

Bryan,
You mention dragging a window but don't indicate whether this is a window
within your VNC server desktop, or on the local desktop of the viewer. Can
I ask which it is?

Guys,
I'd say the clue is in the use of the term HTTP tunnelling! Sounds to me
like they're looking for a way to blow holes in HTTP proxies, but I may of
course be mistaken on that.
Martin:
For HTTP tunnelling, you may wish to look at GNU HTTPTunnel. Like VNC, it's
distributed under the GPL,
Volker,
Changing the priority of the VNC Server process is not advisable.
