No, those are using sockets like how you and I think sockets are. I'm familiar with traditional sockets (my SocketLogger driver, and I forked the meteostick driver to use sockets) and I'm familiar with websockets, but this is using socket.io which is a websocket, but not a normal websocket

I haven't been able to find anything other than the API from here.com which is free for up to 250,000 requests a month it looks like. So depending on your usage, you'd have to download and cache the results then have crontab fetch an update every hour or something

The sqlite sdb file can be moved just like any normal file. Stop weewx first, then copy the file to the new machine, and start weewx on the new machine after its copied. It should work right away. Check the logs to make sure. Always smart to keep a backup copy of the database just in case

The sdb file is sqlite. If you want to verify, you could install the sqlite3 tool and run this command echo .tables | sqlite3 weewx.sdb weewx only supports sqlite and mysql. Double check to make sure which database you are using by checking weewx.conf, [DataBindings] [[wx_binding]] database.

Hey there, I can help a little later today - back at work today. Initial thoughts are there should be some debugging info in Chrome. Open the Developer Tools (F12 on Windows), and then select the Console tab. You should see status like "Connecting to MQTT" or "MQTT connect failed. Reason:
