efforts organized. Nobody is trying to upstage anyone or step on
anyone's toes. We are all WISPs trying to help.
On the legal front, our attorney has given the approval for WISPA to
work as an organization on relief efforts. Th

That was not my point - The point is - WISPA is supposed to be a
powerful organization in the making, and it seems that the help to
support the food / shelter requirements is one thing - but they can also
stepup and help out with the resources / logistics needed to make the
Part-15 project a succes

Oh lord - here we go - nothing like a good pissin match in the middle of

I definitely applaud Mac for providing the Internet and VOIP to the
shelters his church has setup for the Refugees. We have 4 or 5 shelters
in the area that we are providing "internet" to - no go on
Mac - it is a very short process to get FEMA and the REDCROSS or
Salvation Army involved. Contact me offlist for details - You do not
need to be footing this bill, not necessary at all. FYI - All of these
refugees must register with FEMA immediately via the internet.

Scriv I appreciate all of you more than you could know. We do not have
FEMA or the Red Cross anywhere in our area. If we did I would not be
doing what I am doing. It has been left up to "whoever will" to stand in

One of our WISPA members, Mac Dearman, has already setup VOIP, Internet,
food and shelter for evacuees, He is doing this right now in Louisiana.
I do not care who gets the glory on this. I sent Mac $250. He has put
out a call for money, food, equipment and people to help him there
today. I am
I am putting together an Asterisk box with four phones and long distance
termination for Mac to send to a local shelter. After talking to him
yesterday, the need for telecom down there appears to be intense. There
are lines of people waiting to use phones and even the normal phone
operations
Guess I'll stick my neck out here and say that I have to agree.
Duplication of efforts is NOT what is needed at this point in time...
