The original problem that I mentioned is the problem mentioned in the original post -- I apologize for the confusion. We have been trying to brainstorm this issue, the only patch we've recently installed across all of our Solaris 10 servers was the Mozilla patch (119115-20) for the Sun Alert ID

I can't speak to the VxVM / Vxfs but creating a sparse zone is as simple as using 'create -b' instead of the usual 'create' in zonecfg. As Enda mentioned, "create -b" starts you with a blank configuration which today gives you a "whole root" zone. However, the proper way of creating a "whole ro
