SOLANA OPTIMISTIC REGARDING NEGOTIATIONS ABOUT FUTURE OF THE YUGOSLAV FEDERATION SOLUTION BY MARCH 15
PODGORICA- High representative of the European Union (EU) Javier Solana, after talks with American State Secretary Collin Pauel, expressed his expectations that solution to the crisis in relations of the Yugoslav federation will be reached within next ten days- Podgorica's media inform. I expect that other disputable matters would be resolved till March 15, as it has been agreed, in accordance with an initiative made with the highest representatives of Montenegro and Serbia- Solana said before visiting Washington. Solana announced continuing of Montenegrin-Serbian negotiations by the end of this week in Belgrade, expressing optimism in an outcome of these negotiations. RASTODER ABOUT VISIT OF PARLIAMENTARY DELEGATION TO AMERICA CONGRESSMEN AGAINST NEW EXPERIMENTS IN THE BALKANS PODGORICA- Among American congressmen and well-known people the number of those that are against new insufficiently organized experiments in the Balkans has been increased- Vice President of the Montenegrin Assembly Rifat Rastoder said, after return of the Montenegrin Parliamentary delegation from the United States of America (USA). Regarding further relations between Montenegro and Serbia, official America gives a chance to the initiative of the European Union (EU), but it does not deny the right of Montenegro that had other ex Yugoslav Republics- Rastoder said. Visit of the Montenegrin Parliamentary delegation to the USA had a studious, tourist and political character and it was organized at the invitation of the Department of State and the Meridian center organization from Washington. RAKCEVIC ABOUT TALKS IN PEKING AND MOSCOW SUPPORT TO THE RIGHT ON SELF-DETERMINATION PODGORICA- Officials of Moscow and Peking are of the opinion that the Montenegrins have inalienable right on self determination and on deciding by themselves about their own future.- Vice President of the Montenegrin Government Zarko Rakcevic said after meeting with representatives of the Government in state Duma and representatives of the Chinese Parliament. Rakcevic said that Podgorica needs "understanding for the position of Montenegro" from both China and Russia, as members of the United Nations Security Council. Vice President of the Montenegrin Government discussed with officials of Peking and Moscow about economic cooperation of Montenegro with China and Russia. Ocekujem da ce se do 15. marta, kao sto je i dogovoreno, razrijesiti preostala sporna pitanja, u skladu sa inicijativama koje su pokrenute u razgovorima sa najvisim predstavnicima Crne Gore i Srbije - rekao je Solana pred odlazak iz Vasingtona. Solana je najavio da ce se do kraja ove nedjelje u Beogradu nastaviti crnogorsko - srpski pregovori, izrazavajuci optimizam u ishod tih razgovora. Sto se daljih odnosa Crne Gore i Srbije tice, zvanicna Amerika sansu daje inicijativi Evropske unije (EU), ali ni u kom slucaju ne negira pravo Crne Gore koje su imali bivse jugoslovenske republike - rekao je Rastoder. Boravak crnogorske parlamentarne delegacije u SAD-a imao je studijski, turisticki i politicki karakter, a posjeta je realizovana na poziv i pod pokroviteljstvom Stejt dipartmenta i u organizaciji Meridijan centra iz Vasingtona. Rakcevic je kazao da je Podgorica zainteresovana da od Kine i Rusije, kao clanica Savjeta bezbjednosti Ujedinjenih nacija "dobije razumijevanje za ono sto je pozicija Crne Gore". U razgovorima potpredsjednika crnogorske Vlade sa zvanicnicima Pekinga i Moskve bilo je rijeci i o privrednoj saradnji Crne Gore sa Kinom i Rusijom.
