The real issue here is not that this is unfair or harmful to Skim's developers, 
it's that whoever did this is blatantly trying to fool people into paying 
significant amounts of money for something they could easily get freely, and 
thus harming the uninformed users. In doing so, this person is also 
short-circuiting the incredibly altruistic actions of Skim's developers in 
freely distributing the program in the first place, which is evil.
