I think this list slows down when our engines are working well. The rare slightly off topic note is not a problem. I agree that the real busy lists often say little of interest to myself, so I do not mind this list with the episodic nature of mail frequency.
Wicks: I installed stainless steel mesh in the two forward wick tubes in my Aster Alisan Shay. I made the front mesh higher above the tube than the middle wick. The wick in the rear is a standard wick. To reduce alcohol from splashing over the tube I added standard wick between the mesh layers.
