OK, now I got it. Normally I just hit F2 or alt-F2, but used the mouse
on the green arrow just to test what you say. Now I have hit the
little arrow next to the green arrow, chose an account and yes, I can
now confirm that the CC opens in the background.

If this is a bug, it is so totally obscure to me, I needed two days
even to find it! Just kidding, I'm not making fun of you but do
understand now. Yes, this could probably be fixed in five minutes.
