I recently went through and cleaned up my address book (part of the
pain of importing from Outlook Express). I have only one address
book, and because I've been through my AB recently (to weed out old
contacts, modify templates, and select Favorites), I know I don't have
duplicate entries. Unfortunately, I'm able to reproduce the problem at
will: I've even tried creating new dummy contacts with templates in my
address book and in one of the existing address books (Bigfoot). Same
thing happens every time: if I select the address and then create a
new message, the template shows up; if I open the Compose Message
window and then select an addressee, no template. :(
I've exited TB and restarted it; I've shut down the computer and
rebooted. No change (hey, when all else fails, it's worth a try). No
matter what I do I just can't seem to get the automatic templates to
work *once I've opened the message editing window*.
I'll update to 1.46 and hope that the problem just magically goes
away, since I really can't think of anything else to try, but if that
doesn't work I guess I'll just have to live with it. I don't want to
uninstall and reinstall!
