Yes, a few people have mentioned this already. As I keep saying, the
auto template works when I *preselect* the address. In fact, if I
select my addressee from the AB and then hit Ctrl-Enter, the message
editing window shows up with the template already pasted in, without
my even having to put the cursor in the message body.
I *wish* I were leaving a step out in my descriptions of my process,
but I'm not: I create a new message from nothing (click Compose New
Mail button; fill in TO field, either by selecting from address book
or by typing it in; fill in Subject field; click to message body...
and... no template). :( That's the utterly bizarre part of it all: I
can select the *same* contact from the address book, and the auto
template will work or not work depending on whether I open the message
or the AB first. I've tried this with several different contacts with
the same result every time.
I can't tell you all how happy I'd be to learn I've missed something
obvious...
Thanks again,
Havivah
