of "automatic templates":

NB: At what point did you decide that the template hadn't shown up?
When I start a new mail and select the To: address from either the
address book button or the history, the correct template doesn't
appear until I move the cursor into the message body from the header
entry panel.

HDS> away, since I really can't think of anything else to try, but if
HDS> that doesn't work I guess I'll just have to live with it. I don't
HDS> want to uninstall and reinstall!
Well, I hope one of these works for you. This functionality works
great for me - but that doesn't help you :-(.
