I don't disagree with you about his bastardity, and you are right that if anyone today drugged and then had oral, vaginal and anal sex with a 13 year old they would do serious prison time. But what is not correct is that Polanski's celebrity status is what got him a different outcome. If he had done this today, he would have received a more serious sentence, and a non-famous person, similarly situated to Polanski 30 years ago, would have received a sentence similar to what he got then. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ TV or Not TV ....
