Subject: Vintage Name Plates
Greetings,
Our '58 Overlander has the older "deco" style Airstream name plates on
the front and back, under the windows. They're badly faded, of course,
and I'm wondering if anyone knows what color they were originally?
They're almost an aqua color now, but with a little spit and some
rubbing, they turn a darker blue. Was the blue as dark as the later
model name plates? I assume we'll have to do a mask and paint
restoration on these, and I'd like to know if there is a suitable color
available to duplicate it's orginal color.
Thanks much,
Ted
