Oooh,
I did mention.....I found the main fuel line to be choked with a 2cm
long piece of crap plug....containing some fibres from God-knows-where and some
rusty bits. Cleared that out, blew some air up the fuel line and then installed
a new fuel filter.
Now I can concentrate on other things at hand. The VW alternator has to
go in. Today I meddled with the bodywork, hammered some bubbly areas to reveal
loads of horrible rust. Would hafta get some bodywork done in areas of
immediate need.....
The daily driver 68 deserves a full on body off resto but that has to
wait till the 59 ragtop project is sorted or I have another bug to drive.
