Mike,
I am indeed very grateful to this list ever since the day I joined in,
and even before that when my elder brother Suleman (suley) used to pass on the
pearls of wisdom to me.
The poor bug has been with me since 1998, getting a resto on a shoestring
budget back then. A proper resto was on the cards as soon as the not so high
quality paintwork would go bad. Now 12 years down the line that has yet to
happen. There are stashes of goodies waiting to go onto it once it goes for a
full rebuild.
I went to the bodyshop today where the 59 ragtop is under resto. Have
fixed an appointment down this week to get the worst bits done a piece at a
time with the car running and under my posession.
And yes, I can relate to that sticker alright!
Best wishes and regards,
Asad
