I disagree. I think my reaction to a flashing button in a new game would be to click it. While that solve the problem of finding the button, it might introduce some small frustration with starting off the game and being somewhat confused as to when exactly to end your turn. Not to mention, after you know where the button is, a constantly flashing would be quite annoying (to me). I think that since the first few actions are relatively scripted anyway, it makes sense to just incorporate ending the first turn into the dialogue.
