I *did* manage to get Z3 compiled under Cygwin.
I just had to type "python setup.py build -i" and was able to run it after adding the principals.zcml file.
I used WinCVS (crlf eol) to check it out, for compiling I used MSVC6 and for running Python 2.3.3. I had no problems.
