Hi Monty:
I just added a jumper around (well, actually over) my L4. No need to risk
possible PCB damage by completely removing the RFCs.

The BL2 PC board is 1.5 x 3.8 inch. The enclosure will be at least 1.5 x 4.0

Thanks Steef and Ron. I did have my customer confirm the BL1 is 1.5 x 3.
So, I'm going to make up one with those dimensions for him to test (the
other connections look like they line up with the BL2).
If anyone else with a BL1 is interested in an enclosure, please contact

Unless the RFC begins to move under heat and begins bridging to an adjacent
pad or trace. Even when being careful, SMT/SMD parts can slightly shift on
the PCB.
As a die hard CW operator, it's difficult to imagine that after 45

This was the first active CW contest I've had with the K3. While early

I just noticed that after a fun and uneventful (no failures) weekend of ARRL

other than turn the K3 off last night and then on this morning.
Perhaps I pushed something by mistake, but I have no idea what that could

I did a CPU reset (NORM / POWER ON) and the first time nothing changed. The

Ouch. Did you have an electrostatic event? All those buttons have one thing
in common: They are using the signal SCANADC1 which is routed to input X3 on

not the case, but if that input is zapped, you will have the

Don,
At first I thought your suggestion didn't affect anything since I already
had dressed the leads fairly well. However, in bypass mode (less than 10

seconds, the IMD at 25 watts now drops to about -27 dB.
So there is

I am experimenting with recording QSOs. If I want to record my own

decent recording unless I want to blow my eardrums. When in LIN OUT

A means to get tx audio without having to be in =PHONES is on the list.

I had the chance to use a K3 during SS CW. I liked the rx and found it easy
