has anyone tried to used this combo? i had picked up one on sale (logitech optical wireless, a big marble on top) to replace my old mouse. so far it's a challenge for me to even cut and paste text, although i expect that this will improve. the big question is, is it suitable for photo editing?

You may want to consider the Vivitar 285s since you are shooting animals you probably wont need ttl if you are far enough away you will just be firing at max power. I think they are under 80 dollars each so you can always replace them. They are pretty hard to destroy and have none of the fancy

Hi, the meter thinks that the scene it is looking at is 18% grey and bases the exposure time on that assumption. If you're photographing a starlit field then the scene is unlikely to be 18% grey. It is the 'black cat in a coal hole' situation. In an extreme situation such as the one you describe

I prefer a tablet to a mouse or trackball, but if you do use a mouse I suggest you get an optical mouse rather than the ball. I have the Logitech Marble FX too and it is fine for photo editing. It is better than mouse inho. The reason is that you can roll the ball until you are happy with the
