Hey all,

Looking at a '99 M Coupe WBSCM9339XLC61076 Cosmos
black. Can anyone run the VIN for me?

Thanks,
Brian

Thanks, Rob. That is one great looking (and sounding) exhaust system.
I'm a bit smitten, BUT...

Any thoughts among the group on whether I can install this thing w/o
worrying about warranty coverage (pretty new car)?

I figured I could check with the motorsports guy at the dealership, but
wouldn't mind asking him after receiving some collective knowledge on
whether there is any "correct" way in which to ask this question!

Thanks again. And you were right about the sound levels and wife
issue--she approved the downloaded sound bits.

Tom K.

CORSA makes some of the most amazing exhaust systems. I have had the
opportunity to tour their facilities, etc. and their technology is
impressive. It seems simple when it is explained to you and you can see the
guts of an exhaust system but it seems most other companies are still
relying on 100 year old ideas.

That and their welds and finished product is amazing too.

It is nice to see a BMW aftermarket company working with them. It would be
interesting to see an E36 M3 system and other future development.

Regards,

Rich

First prototype completed... final design and testing to be completed
by late December.

You should (and probably will very soon!) hear the one-off system on
the 750 along with the replacement performance cat section.

After 210k miles I'm looking to sell my 735i and move on to a 740i. I have
several in sight in SoCal and a few in AZ. Any info on weak points or what
to look for is appreciated.

Also any feedback on Long Beach BMW or Crevier BMW would be helpful. Thanks

Supposedly, deep in the dark basement of the Mobile Tradition
warehouse, there is a one-off E31 cabrio done by BMW. Probably parked
right next to the M8.

Probably next to the E34 M5 cabrio also... Wasn't there two prototypes of
the E34 M5 convertible?

Indeed.

Hmmm... 2-door E34 (I assume). To me, that sounds like the replacement
for the E24 6-series that never saw the light of day. <sigh>

I suppose I could hack the roof off the '95 sedan - NOT.

So I'm home visiting the parents over T-Giving, and the brake light
warning light comes on in the '97 Camry. We check and the brake
lights are working, including the middle light. After some period of
time, the warning light goes out. We check brake lights again and
they are still working. Over the course of the weekend, the warning
lights came on a few times, but the brake lights always worked. I
wowed my father with tales of BMW's setting off the warning light in
anticipation of the bulbs failing, due to a change in resistance (?)
or some such thing. Dad was really impressed <zzzzzzzzzz>!

Anyway, has anyone ever heard of this happening in (dreaded) Toyotas
or is this just a BMW phenomenon?

Thanks,

Donn
