Rich combustion causes CO. The catalyst should clean up much of the HC, but if the combustion is rich, then there is insufficient oxygen in there to do it. New plugs with a large gap, new O2 sensor and a new catalyst and you should be all cleaned up, more or less. You don't necessarily need all 3. From reports I've seen it suffers from being very noisy. Othewise it has Ok performance.Might be suitable for hazardous applications where even when shot up or partially destroyed it will continue to support the suspension at moderate speed. We used to have a Suburban with a limited slip diff. In those days we knew nothing of limited slip diff additive, so it always groaned when making tight turns. It had enough lockup to guarantee that both rear wheels would always spin on a slippery surface, making parking lot donuts a breeze, but otherwise was a hinderance to cornering safely. On the other hand, if one wheel was in mud and the other was on pavement, it didn't have enough lockup to help power you out of it.
