Hi all,
I am considering an M3 that has had rod bearings replaced. Car only has
116kmiles. Is this typical for an S14? Also may need a prepurchase
inspection in the DC area, any recommendations?

There is only one solution that I know of that meets your requirements, Halogen
Infrared
Reflecting bulbs. I wouldn't waste my money on cheap lighting like DEPO. I
did a group buy on
these earlier in 2004 and have some info on my website:

http://www.rdautosport.com/GroupBuy.htm

Although this guy hijacked my group buy once, he is one of the few places I
know you can buy them:

http://www.finemotoring.com/

Recently, Don E covered this extensively in the Roundel.

Regards,

Rich

Figures....the couple of months where I let my membership lapse that
Roundel would have a few articles I really needed to see ;-)

You ain't kidding about the E36 lights sucking, I just don't see how BMW
thought those were good enough for speeds over 30 mph.

Thanks for the links.

Maybe a little faster than that. :-)
The low beam sawed out of the bucket, with a 55W Silverstar, overdriven
by 7.2AH of Lithium ion 18650 cells inside a water bottle, and hung from
a handlebar end, makes a great bicycle headlight. That's where one of
mine went after 'Jack got his ellipsoid surgery. Good for 40+mph on the
downhills, but that's about it.

What state? Insurance laws vary by state.

The relevant state is MA.

Thanks,

I have disassembled the front fascia as part of a head lamp replacement
project. The hardware (expanding rivets, screws, etc) that hold the grill &
head lamp surrounds need to be replaced. The local parts guy says they only
come with a new grill.

Say it ain't so! Can anyone point me to these parts on the ETK?

Cheers,

Roland

It ain't so. Check here:

Early and late parts are different.
