I actually like when people order by phone. It gives me a chance to tell
them whether or not the parts are in stock, and if not, whether or not there
is an ETA. If they order via the web, I have to do all of that by email,
which actually takes more of my time as well as the customer's. I also get
to know my customers better by talking with them on the phone, and it gives
me a chance to catch them if they are ordering the wrong thing or if there
is some "companion product" that they should consider buying with what they
have already requested.

The web site is convenient for people who like to browse and/or order after
business hours, but the phone gives me many opportunities to help out with
the customer's ultimate satisfaction.
