I beg to differ here. Have you had to place dogs that you have grown to love
with all of the time you've spent training and bonding, because they will
not be an asset to the breed as a whole for whatever reason (health,
structure) no matter that it is breaking your heart to part with them? Have
you watched puppies fade, whelped them deformed, breathe life back into the
stillborns, had a bitch with mastitis and had to hand feed 10 puppies every
few hours, put down a beautiful puppy or dog because of a congenital defect
that will affect its quality of life, traveled across the country and even
beyond to find out all you can about the choices you will make when taking
the breed in any given direction, attended countless seminars to learn all
about health problems, canine genetics, reproduction, canine anatomy etc.,
taken the time to truly study the history of the breed including pedigrees
so that you may better understand where the breed has come from and be able
to make the best choices you can for where it is going, picked the brain and
truly listened to those who have been there before you and grasp their
pearls of wisdom so that one day you to will become an asset to the breed?
If you have then I apologize.

So does the person who bought theirs from the pet store.
