I want to say that I agree with almost everything everyone has said so far,
especially the above. Back when CKCSC was getting ready to vote I did call
all my pet owners who were CKCSC members. Most of them could care less,
didn't even want to vote and so didn't vote. I wasn't about to make them!
I figured if they weren't interested enough to even want to vote--how could
they possibly have studied the issues to any extent!

No matter how intelligent a pet owner is, breeding is not their area of
expertise. I am a very intelligent person, I own a car and take good care
of it--but PLEASE don't ask me to make any decisions on how to improve
engine performance and cut down on repairs. I wouldn't have a clue where to
start! And I have no interest in learning. All I care is that my car keeps
running and gets me where I want to go. Since I have so little true
knowledge of the workings of a car I could easily *vote* for a change that
is detrimental to the result I would like. Cars are complicated and I just
don't have enough knowledge about them to *vote* properly.
