No, but there are requirements to vote in this country. One you have to be a
citizen, not just live here, I suppose to insure that those voting have the best
interests of this country at heart. Two, you have to be at least 18, I suppose
to have the maturity to understand political platforms. While I am certain that
there are mature 16 year olds and non citizens who reside here and love this
country that doesn't necessarily mean that changing voting requirements would be
a good idea. Just as I am certain that there are pet owners who may have studied
the breed, its history, dog anatomy, canine genetics and attended seminars on
every facet available to the dog fancier, I think they are the exception rather
than the rule.
