R.A. ,

I looked at both my daughters B&W this morning, a rev 1 and rev 2 . Looking
at both internally and externally there are no notable differences in the
serial number, ROM version (ASP report, although I did the Apple ROM update
before the 10.3.2 install) ,machine ID, case design, etc. Manufacture dates
on the cases themselves are both 1998. The rev 1 machine was manufactured in
January 1999, and the rev 2 was manufactured in December 1999.

The only real difference I can see is the hard drive sleds (stacked in the
rev 2, just like the G4's ) and a production date and part number on the
motherboard itself, right below the RAM slots.

Rev 1 board reads: Apple Computer Inc copyright 1998 , part number
820-0987-A

Rev 2 board reads: Apple Computer Inc copyright 1999 , part number
820-1049-A

Anybody have any additional info?

Thanks,

Wade
