  A lot depends upon the capabilities of your "evil mage".  If you want, why
not email me a spell list of the Evil mage and let me know what he can do.
I in turn, will see what I can do with that spell list.

Remember the wizard's first rule...

"People are stupid"

It isn't what you can do that matters, it is what your opponents THINK you
can do that matters.

Just out of curiosity, did you utilize the full rules regarding
shapechanging from GURPS CHARACTERS?  If so, is shapechanging magical per
page 83, the following is listed:

"In addition, you must specify a single, reasonably common external
influence that can force you to return to your native form against
your will. This should suit the advantage's origin: a Dispel Magic spell if
your ability is magical, exorcism if a spirit power, strong magnetic fields
if
technological, etc."

If this ability is "magical" in nature, then dispel magic would be
functional against the were eagle while in his alternate form.  Also?  You
may want to ask the player which form is its natural form - for when the
player character should enter a no mana region.

If this is a spirit ability, a simple exorcism would be sufficient to cause
some serious problems ;)
