I'm also in Australia and I haven't considered the Legacy Cloud in the
past as my upload speed was woeful so handling uploading to Dropbox
where I can have data backups that don't overwrite each other was my
priority. It took several minutes to do the upload to Dropbox.
The Legacy Cloud backup for your data file is just an extra backup. It's
overwritten each time so you shouldn't be relying on it though it's a
helpful way of moving a file from one computer to another if you have
good internet speed.
I now have better internet upload speed as the half baked NBN finally
made it to where I live, so I guess I could consider using the Legacy
Cloud as well as Dropbox but with backups regularly to several external
drives of all my computer data, I don't see the need.

That is another reason I don't use it regularly... my large file
takes a long time.
But my speed is:

Phew, that's smoking !
As an aside, and for Australians who pay through the nose for our
access, would you mind me asking what that access costs you each month?
Thanks
