Thanks for the reply Bryan.

  Actually I do need help with installing the XF86_S3
  server.  I ran Xconfigurator like you said but when 
  I pick S3 the program stops, complaining that the 
  server does not exist.  Will  I have to reinstall 
  the entire OS again and make sure to pick the 
  correct server or do you know an easier way to do
  this?
