Hello there and welcome to Tuesday’s edition of the Levy Letter.

I was interested to read today that up to 95 publicly-funded theatres across
England are to offer free tickets to young adults as part of a £2.5m
government-funded scheme. I would be interested to see if any of our local
theatres would be getting involved in what hopes to be a really good way to get
more people going to the theatre. As of next year until 2011, theatres will
offer free tickets, at least once a week, to 18 to 26-year-olds on a
first-come, first-served basis. I think this is a really good idea and will
encourage our young people to take advantage of the culture available in their
cities. Do you think this is a good idea? Let me know what you think by

Sweet Dreams

Now do you suffer from unpleasant dreams? Well fear not as apparently new
research from Germany suggests that all you need to ensure sweet dreams is to
sleep with flowers in your room. Researchers used the smell of roses under the
noses of the sleeping volunteers. They found that the volunteers reported
experiencing pleasant emotions in their dreams. When using the smell of rotten
eggs, the opposite effect was found.

Do you remember the film ‘Jurassic Park’? Well it seems that it may be possible
to bring extinct animals back. In the case of ‘Jurassic Park’, dinosaurs were
brought back from extinction but in this case it is an extinct Galapagos
tortoise species, which scientists believe could walk again. Researchers have
reported finding relatives of Geochelone elephantopus alive and well. By
cross-breeding these living tortoises it might re-create the extinct species.
However it could take up to a century for this to happen. What do you think?
I’ve had a lot of responses from viewers regarding GM crops, is it okay to play
with nature to try and bring back animals? Let me know.
