Ok guess I better put in my 2 cents worth as well :)

So we are talking a cheap L4 Turbo....
L18 Block + L20 Head + 1 3/4" CD or SU (I Like the CD's better
a little bit more driveable) - Machine 100 thou off the top of the pistons
Gives around 7:4 (can't remember the exact fig) .....+ water inject
good for 17PSI all day.... :) add some Avgas for 20/21psi spurts
I've seen a few motors built to this formula with some of them lasting for
years.... And like Trev said if it blows... another S/hand bottom end is
only $45-$100
Paul Keen in Adelaide use to pull 12 sec quarters in his 16 with second
hand L20 bottom ends from the wreckers
