Paddy,
Interesting choice of turbo, I don't know anything about them - have you got
some specs.
The W53 head (is this a Stanza A10 L16?) will give a much higher CR than the
A87 which will be better, but the U67 head off the L20B is prolly best as
you'll get a more suitable cam too, although a rare in Australia 610SSS B2
cam is good. I had a bit of brain fade with the lift of the C U20 cam, I
looked it up this time like I should have in the first place, it's actually
.327" lift 255 degrees duration - sorry about the mistake, I don't know what
I was thinking of. There's not a lot of difference between cams of the same
basic grind, the number after is for slightly different engines in the same
family like to cater for local pollution laws, different gearing, weight
etc.
A pressure line from the inlet manifold with a one way valve was used to
pressurise the water tank. The ford unit is actually under pressure in the
Falcon as the radiator cap is part of it. The 200B had it on the inside
guard near the coil but it doesn't matter much where you can fit it in. The
last hobb switch and T piece that I bought was $35 from Premier Instruments
in Dickson but that was quite a few years back so could be a few more $ now.
Any good instrument place should have them, the one I use has a pressure
range of virtually stuff all to 30 psi.

g`day,
im going to use a Hitachi ht18s-2s turbo from a series 4 RX-7, ive got the
manifolds and turbo already, just need to make up an exhaust, organize the
oil & water lines for the turbo, get the carb & cable setup finished and
then a quick ring and bearing job on the motor, then fit it all in me car
and tune it. (i think thats about it) would like to have it goin for the
Adelaide cruise (oct 21) but things are goin a bit slow.
im either going to reuse my W53 head or an A87 i have here depending on the
W53`s condition.as for the cam i got a few here i can try. i didnt think the
factory C cam had that much lift? .497" is a fair bit. Is there a diff
between the C and C1?
was that use the pressure from the turbo to power the water feed for the
injection instead of using a squirter motor? the low water level switch
sounds like a good thing. the ford bottle is pretty trendy lookin isnt it,
dunno where it would fit tho
what is a Hobbs switch worth?
Paddy
