Hi

Having just got back from a months serious hard work (;-) shooting
landscapes in Colorado, I'd suggest looking at a different lens?

I've been using the 16-35L on a 1Ds and have not had the red dots problem to
a similar degree. I was rather careful to underexpose quite a bit where
there were a lot of highlights. I've also found that Camera Raw's sharpening
settings has a considerable impact on this.

I may change my mind a bit when I've been through the umpteen gigabytes of
raw files now sitting on my server...

The Northlight site (below) is currently being rebuilt from scratch and I'm
intending to put a lot more info on it. In the meantime, if anyone wants any
specific info on the 1DS related stuff, please mail me (I'm dividing my time
between web development and sorting/cataloguing/processing/huge prints, so
diversions are welcome ;-)

bye for now
