Does anyone else still think exporting a BOM spreadsheet is broken? I exported one a few minutes ago, and opened it with Excel and it's still blank. KB item 2185 says it's been fixed in SP6, but I have SP6 and it's not fixed. It then goes to say there is a workaround, but is the workaround for SP6 people or pre-SP6? If everyone loads SP6, why is there a "work-around?"
I did the "save copy as", which make a seemingly identical copy of the spreadsheet, then I exported THAT and IT opened OK in Excel.
