No you are not missing anything. I was giving a little more info that may help some in some situations - not really helpful for when you need to In DXP the wire can be proken by placing a two pin component - now that will be a bit of a silly workaround - we will need to keep a tiny dummy component (called Break) around just to place wires. I can see the FAQ entry now: "It is obvious that to break a wire you should place and delete a component."
