LOL, the KLUNK! happens here too (win2k), also Alt+F,X gets it.  But Alt+F4
doesn't, nor does Close from the system menu.  I had never noticed as I use
one of the 'quiet' methods 99.9% of the time.

However, I didn't notice any significant speed difference in my environment
(PIII 500MHz), 2-3 seconds either way.
