The decision to shut down was unanimous.  The Buckaroo commander needed a
break last year, I told him to take it, then Pastor prevailed upon him to
baby-sit his kids.  I'm not sure what you mean by "core" and "key man" as I
sense a facetious tone.  We have 3 LTC trained commander, a helper in SA/B
(they're combined), and a new leader for Pioneers who started 4 weeks ago.
Myself and my compadre - Vic - are the core of the outpost.  If there is an
activity to be planned (campouts, ranger day, etc.) or something needs done
in the Ranger room, Vic and I do it.  It shouldn't be that way, but it is.
At one time, we had two commander for each age group - SA to Trail Rangers;
however, they gradually moved off into other directions, some moved away.

I sense you're about to make a point, and I'd appreciate hearing it.
