I can relate to Commander Pier- Yeah everyone else is too smart to come even close to helping. All my commanders have taken off for vacations -across the country, and I sure ain't doing all the patrols myself. Answer-take a break and pick it back up after I'm refreshed. If I had someone to take it on, that'd be different. BTW I've been at this for 11 years. I don't have any of my own boys in it anymore. I am there for those who have no father. We are going to our district Jamboree in a week and I only have 3 boys going and I will be taking them myself. No other commanders or fathers. I'm almost 50 and feeling every day of it when I go on campouts. All the NAt. Forests are shut down due to forest fires. THere is a statewide-"no campfires" warning or fines will be imposed. We will have to do everything on a camp stove. It won't be the same with out a good oldfashioned campfire. As I was driving in to town today, there was a brown cloud over the city from the Mt. nearby burning. We're in a serious drought-less than 1 inch of rain all year. Talk about burn out!! Lord send your rain to refresh our spirits and hearts. Bob Simons in Tucson Arizona.
For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.
