Rangernetters need to remember to wisely read words in ways
to not let needless burrs get under the saddle blanket.. or
at least stop like now and pick the cockleburrs out!

Why preserve an Outpost that only a few men want?

As *I see it..

The Fate of the Outpost *should be- in the hands of the boys.(*Parents)

Only when your population of Rangers desires to belong.. do you
have the moral agreement you need to "lead". This is why it's called
"service to boys".. They are the glue, the gas and power..

Often, with the way Outposts are set-up..
A "Key Man" takes the ball and runs with it.

He'll run it out the end zone and down the street till only
3 Pioneers follow him, and not the same 3 each week.<G> *Then
looking back he wonders where the Team went<G>

Never get too far ahead of the "herd"..

*I think you need to stop running and go back and hand the ball
to the parents of the Rangers. *Press them.. to back you, or walk
on down the road. The "Ministry" of Jesus was alive, active and
full of life.

Useing the "Key man" Core Group" style is like setting traps for
boys. You design the program and wait for them to fall into line.
Some do, some don't..  *then you run the "Burn-out" tape when things
don't work<G>

*Burn out- is when you lose the ability to have a say in the Outcome
of your situation!


How about turning the entire situation on it's ear..

Lay out a year long planning session of brain stormed ideas for
outings, run the Outpost like an administrator, and work to
make those plans come true.. When people see you "going places-
doing things" and holding a standard high for quality experiances-
*They will yeild, and line up to *serve a great thing!
