Hi, I've already post that problem a while but as I got no answer and saw a new faq, here it is again : so on pgp help page i found : To decrypt an encrypted e-mail message from The Bat!, use Check PGP signature command from the Tools menu. If the message is signed, PGP automatically checks its signature validity. Note that the message is NOT stored so you need to decrypt it this way each time you read the message. But when I click on check pgp signature, It asks for my passphrase and ... nothing ! Problem checking for multi-account mail
Hello TBUDL, I have just installed TB 1.51 and am in the process of evaluating it. Only one problem so far. I started with one account - everything o.k. Then I added another five accounts. I will need six accounts when I switch to TB! I sent test emails to each account. I 'got new email' for each account individually - no problem Then I tried to 'check mail for all' but TB! only checked three accounts. There is no apparent connection between the three accounts (in fact the relate to different domains/hosts). All the accounts' properties are similar. I've repeatedly 'checked mail for all' but only the same three accounts are checked. Can anyone help, please. Worm: What Do I Do?
I had been (until this morning) getting the list in digest form and sometimes didnn't read everything, so I just saw this message about the worm infecting TB! I have received a number of messages in what I presume is Russian (at least they are non-English characters) in the last week or so. I just delete them in the top pane and have not opened any of them, so I don't know if this alone is enough to protect me. I went to the web page which told me about the virus, but it didn't seem to have any specific instructions about how to get rid of it. Questions (and I apologize if they've been dealt with previously--so you can answer directly and not clog the list if you prefer): How do I know if I have it? If I do, will a virus checker like McAfee pick it up? If not, what do I do to get rid of it? Thanks for any help. Mike Greenbaum -- JANUS BOOKS, LTD. Re: Bringing newsgroup and mailing lists messages together
Hello Paula, Saturday, April 28, 2001, 10:02:14 PM, you wrote: I find myself in the same case as you. Being a former user of OE5 for both e-mails newsgroups, I switched to TB! for e-mails and still keep OE5 for newsgroups. I agree with you that it is very convenient to have both functions in the same program. I have been told by Ritlabs that a newsreader will be implemented in version 2 during the course of this year. So I am sticking to OE5 to avoid learning another newsreader. From time to time I import my newsgroup messages into TB!. The inconvenience is that my e-mails are downloaded twice. With OE5 TB! BTW does anyone know if OE5 can be prevented from acting as e-mail program while still being a newsreader? P Hi All, P I recently learned that Microplanet has stopped development work on P Gravity, which I've been using for a long time for news reading. I like P Gravity a lot, but I've been wanting the ability to organize newsgroup P messages into folders, which was promised for the next version. Now, P that it's uncertain whether or not there will ever be a next version and P certainly not for the foreseeable future, I'm thinking about P alternatives. P My basic problem is that I subscribe to both a lot of mailing lists and P a lot of newsgroups dealing with the same subjects related to computing. P I save a lot of messages from both sources for future reference. P Retrieving the information, though, is clunky with having to search both P sources separately and not being able to categorize the newsgroup P messages at all. And, I'm just tired of having information P scattered all over the place. P So, I was thinking that I might switch to using Agent for both P newsgroups and mailing lists, keeping The Bat! for non-mailing list use, P but that would be a kludgy workaround. I'd rather find a way to get my P newsgroups messages into The Bat! So, I was wondering if anyone knows of P a news reader that would let me save out messages in a format that I P could import into The Bat!? Or, is it a totally goofy idea? -- Best regards, jlaikanmailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] -- __ Archives : http://tbudl.thebat.dutaint.com Moderators : mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] TBTech List: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Unsubscribe: mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] You are subscribed as : archive@jab.org
