Ok I have no luck at all... All the files exists but are empty: 0 kB. I am so depressed about that adventure... Thank you for this work around anyway... Bayesit is really shitty. Right now, I myself go down to my Sent Mail folder after I send a Reply to some of my correspondents in Private Mail, and do a Right-Click on that Reply in the Sent mail message list. I choose Copy to, and then I have the Reply in the Original Message folder (for instance, the folder labeled Sue, for my sister). I do this because I like to keep a chronological Sent Mail folder. I think a filter could be made that would do both, keep a copy of the Reply in the Sent folder and in the Original Message folder. 2.11.03 Really Slow on POP Retrieval
It seems that since moving to the 2.11.x versions, my installation of TheBat! has become very slow on POP retrieval. The first thing that I tried was disabling all anti-virus and anti-spam plugins. That didn't work. Then I tried to delete and rebuild my spam databases. That didn't work. Lastly, I removed and then reinstalled TheBat! but it still has this speed issue. I have contacted my ISP and confirmed that they are having no connection issues. I am also experiencing this speed issue on 4 different mail servers hosted in different locations around the US. This has been going on for more than a week, so a temporary net outage is not to blame. Re: spell checker dictionaries
Hello Ian, RA Good question! I have MS Office installed, with dictionaries, but TB! RA doesn't detect _any_ CSAPI dictionaries. I would love to know the answer. Interestingly, when I was using TB! 1.xx, I could not use the CSAPI dictionaries. After upgrading to TB! 2.xx, they suddenly started working (I am using Office 97). My experience is that TB will only detect CSAPI dictionaries from Office 97. For some time I used Office 2000 (as an upgrade to 97) and I had no problems. When I moved to Office XP I installed from scratch and TB could not see any CSAPI dictionaries. So, I uninstalled and then installed Word 97 with the desired dictionaries and then Office XP again and everything is working fine here. Why? I don't really know. -- Best regards, Miguel A. bug report - Runtime error when starting TB ver 2.11.x
Hi BatFolk I have just submitted my second bug report re TheBat!. With ver 2.11.x, but apparently not ver 2.10.x , I sometimes get Runtime error messages. Once the runtime messages start to appear, they keep appearing. I think it is only happening with ver 2.11.02. (Error message...'this application has requested the runtime to terminate in an unusual way...') Questions and comments: 1. I have no idea what runtime or runtime error messages (from 'Microsoft Virtual C++ Library) mean. 2. I just noticed that when you send a bug report to Ritlabs, a copy dose not automatically go to your 'sent' folder. 3. Has anyone else experienced Runtime error messages with ver 2.11.x or any other version?? 4. I know Ritlabs people are very busy..(as most of us are), but it would be nice to get at least an automated acknowledgement that they have received your report and will look at it... 5. Now for some black humour (as opposed to bitterness): The Bat may be a turbo charged V8, and lesser mailers (ThunderBird, Outlook Express, Outlook, Eudora, Pocomail, Lotus, Pegasus, Courier/Calypso etc...all of which I have used) may be like small capacity 4 cylinder engined cars in comparison, but the little car that goes is faster than the turbo V8 that won't start ;-) 6. Lest some die-hard TheBat devotees take offence at point '5', let me say that I have had very few problems with TheBat in the 2-3 years I have been using it. -- Regards, Steve Lovemailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] 08:05 Saturday, 12 June 2004 Using The Bat! v2.10.03 (Protocol:usually IMAP) on Windows 98 4.10 Build B Current version is 2.11.02 | 'Using TBUDL' information: http://www.silverstones.com/thebat/TBUDLInfo.html
