Those frequencies are low enough that you can get by with a short bit of conductor. I would try to keep the ground less than a half inch if possible. Generally there is lots of ground plane round the RF section of the PCB. Scrape off some of the solder mask. -Original Message-

How much will the 450m help with the downlink data rates? IIRC, it adds a couple dB to a link, but it sounds like he needs to add 10 dB to his links. This is a prime example of throwing money at the problem isn't going to solve the problem. You have to fix the installation quality control.

I guess the short term way to implement "fairness" is to reduce the sustained speed setting on the 1x and 2x SM. IMO, a fairness feature is going to do essentially the same thing, except maybe it's dynamic so the crummy SM has a chance at full speed during off peak hours. -- Original
