no

Well it is not only do-able, at the moment about half of all ASF projects
work that way. The disruption cost is an infra ticket, and about 3-4 hours
downtime.
We have today more git commits than svn commits.

Moving to a full git repo (see http://git.apache.org/), would mean giving
up our current SVN repo, but history etc. will be available in Git instead.
The choice is there, and it is just a matter of how people want to work.
thoughts ?

I cannot see them included in the original IP clearance, so my best guess
is that they were forgotten, but others might know more.

there are no active team the UI will not be 100%, so it will not be

Therefore I see the 2 requirements go hand in hand.

We also have a label in BZ for "easy bugs" which you might want to look at.
Feel free to ask on this list.

I for one, will start discussions about what we need to change to seriously
attract people, and give our code a facelift...I do have some indications
from elsewhere that are equally exciting and innovative, more about this
later.

nse to inite Dennis.
You are right in ASF we alwayes try to make consensus, but I am not sure
what can bevdone in this case. If there is a general feeling that this vote
needs somehow to be redone, I am not the one standing in the way.
Furthermore I am NOT elected by the vite, but Andrea sends a
filled with preparations for ApacheCON US (Austin
in april). AOO is sadly not very well represented. I had hoped that the US
part of our community would give some interesting presentations, but not
all hopes come through.
Have fun !!

role for me, To be quite clear I would much more have liked a situation
where some of the PMC members had accepted a nomination.
Enough said.

Sorry wrong ML.
Happened just because I read Kay´s comment on the chair election, to which
I can only say, had there been more discussion we would be voting between 2
candidates now...but who knows what happens in the future.
