My favourite web browser is Opera 10.10 which I use when visiting this
forum. However, I have a small problem when a post contains pictures:
Sometimes they are too wide to fit in the Opera window, and Opera
refuses to show a horizontal scrollbar especially in this forum (see
attached screenshot).

say you share an XP or Linux system with Windows 7 then you'll only see
the Disk Volumes and not the Windows 7 Library unfortunately.

is there any way to assign fixed IP addresses to a Duet / Radio running
on a LAN
I'm often testing stuff remotely as well and with a router for example
you often need to Port Forward to specific machines on your LAN. For
example you want to access a HOME computer from work via RDP
I was assuming you were talking about running Squeezebox Server on the
Windows 7 machine, not only some other machine and remotely accessing
the Windows 7 machine.

You can assign static IP addresses to the Radio, Touch and Controller.
However you could also probably resolve this issue at your router. Set
aside a range in your address space for static IP addresses and set your
computer and VMs to static addresses rather than relying on DHCP.

lot easier if the paradigm of a sync Master and sync Slaves could be

Do you have more than 1 login acount? I have 2 acounts 1 standard and 1
premium. Maybe you are longing into the standard instead. I would go to
Sirius.com, on your PC and open media player, use the same login and
password for your premium acount and see if the Premium or if the
standard acount
To add to my confusion, now that I've started experimenting with The
Synchronizer some of the other sync behaviour seems to have changed, for
the worse. Everytime I switch player in the web UI all my synced players
get unsynced.
I'm guessing that isn't the expected behaviour ?

SBS doesn't scan for players.
A new player on the network sends out a broadcast packet looking for
servers.
Any and all servers respond.
The player will then connect to the server (and remember the server it
connected to...).
If you're talking about the webui, it may get a bit confused

couldn't get any pci card (I also tried an Echo Audio card) to be seen

On the Configure Vortexbox Player page, I only see my motherboard's
onboard audio (regular and HDMI in my case). The RME or Echo cards
never show up in the ALSA device list
