Curt,
Does not surprise me...is it a supply that has had a full update
(Heathkit shop or other)??
If not I would do that right now. Everything in there is getting old.

Yes...you must cover everything. I use clean shop towels slightly
wetted down then carefully remove them as to not spill filings.
This is true if drilling too.
Of course there is areas you can't cover, a powerful shop vac is the
answer here.

You should be able to tune that baby very quickly, maybe 5 secs.
practice at LOW GAIN levels until you have it memoized. The most
important two things IMHO are:
1) Immediately dip the plate and keep it dipped
2) Don't go PAST the load setting that gives MAX smoke out.

Yep...works great and I do that the first time to a new band...then
from then on, just re-dip the plate, and touch up the load a little.

Hi Gang
I have a B line here that I recently got at Dayton.
The dials have a slight discoloration in one area around the dial.
What is the easiest way to get the PTO out so I can carefully clean
these with mild soap water?
Thank,

Woody,
I think you have the details on the cable..NOW one other thing.
IF your AC-4 power supply for the T4X-B has NOT been rebuilt, that is

Most of those are very old now and need some TLC.
