If you are not using VOX, then you must be using a serial or parallel

I was going to use VOX instead of a physical PTT, but that doesn't work
well. I've adjusted gains but it insists on cycling on off. Thought

Look for gender changers, they will fix your RS-232 problem.
Such as:

Plugging gender changers into google generates lots of appropriate

With the DL1, when you do the calculation to get the power level, what
do you measure with? V-AC or V-DC?

= 2x (Vdmm + 0.15)^2/50 - that is: add 0.15 to the DMM reading, square
it and divide by 25 - the 0.15 term is an assumption for the diode drop,
those who would like more precision can measure their particular diode
forward voltage drop.

I joined this list because I was contemplating purchasing a K2. I
have since purchased the radio, and had more fun building it than I
expected. I now have a great radio that I can fix, that I am proud
of, and that is considered a standard. A standard, developed by an
amazing group of
napkin, to those who whistle into the microphone to check
their amp, and everything in-between. And we all have something we can
learn from each other. That is what has kept me on this list.

I am VERY interested, and I have heard of folks using this combination
successfully. I made the mistake of assuming the setup would not work,
and gave away my rigblaster to a friend, only to find out otherwise
latter.

I was wondering where they are initiating PTT from? Serial Port,
Parallel Port, or VOX?
