I find it interesting that even though the K4 is shipping in greater numbers

It would be nice to see postings related to the K4 here as well.
73,
I know that this group consists of many of us who are very loyal Elecraft
customers, many who ordered a K4 in the first hours orders were being taken.
My order went in Oct. 1, 2019, so it may be March before I see mine.
My guess is a few of us have received their K4’s but are reluctant to

I first want to thank all those who responded to my post. In a follow up

Sure enough, at key down, voltage dropped from 14v to 10.5v. I connected a

I have noticed over the past weeks that my KXPA100 will not put out any more

At this point, I don’t think being concerned about when the K4 is going to

How would you power up and power down the K4 remotely? I can’t

I apologize in advance for the length of this post.
I had been an SSB operator exclusively since I became a ham in 1982. I went QRT
for 7 years, because SSB grew stale for me. A little over 3 years ago I decided
to dust off my incredibly rusty/nonexistent CW skills and bought a preowned K2.
Hello All,
This is not a technical post but more of a philosophical viewpoint about
buying new ham gear.
I first became acquainted with Elecraft gear after many years using ICOM
rigs. I had been QRT for about 8 years and came back to the hobby
determined to dust off the CW I never used,
For the folks that have both a KX3 and KXPA100 and either a K3 updated or K3S,

Hello All,
As an example of the flaky behavior of my problem, since sending my post to

I put TUN PWR to 10 watts, when I press the TUNE button, at 5.8:1 SWR, the

I have an Icom AH-4 auto tuner that I would like to place at the feedpoint
of my horizontal loop so that when I tune, I will have 50 ohms coming

tuner when I had my ICOM rigs that would interface and tune directly to it.
I have a KX3 connected to a Signalink and Fldigi. It seems to work fine for

I have the BL2 Balun and use it for balanced lines to Coax. Occasionally,

I am the current owner of a K2 and KX3 with all the add ons possible. I
also have the PX3 and KPXA 100. I am happy with my setup. It is the finest
rig combination that I have had in 35 years as a ham. I love it's
flexibility for operating portable by using only the KX3, or with the PX3.
If the new Elecraft amp is indeed 1500 watts it might be worth considering that
going from 500 to 1500 watts is only about 4.5 Db or less than 1 S-unit in
signal strength. If I owned the KPA 500 it would be a hard sell to get me to
move to ANY 1500 watt amp.

This topic is taking on a life of its own. It appears that there are two

I am looking for some feedback from those using magnetic loop antennas with

I gave some wrong information in my last post about my tuning problem. The

I just returned from running my KX3, PX3, and KXPA100 portable. I setup the
