I did check that the RX I/Q was enabled and still hear nothing, on my computer, when plugged in to the RX I/Q port. I'm ordering a set of adapters so that I can put my headphones on the radio directly to see what I hear then. Thanks all for trying to help... I still wonder if I should hear

Kevin, The RX I/Q is at a low level, and is only usable for a panadapter like the KX3. It works for those applications because the signals are 90 degrees out of phase (which is what quadrature means). For Fldigi, and other soundcard data mode applications, use the Phones output to feed the

The levels from the RX I/Q are very low, so you might not hear anything. Pages 26 and 27 in the manual talk about using that for computer-based SDR applications. Also, check the RX I/Q menu setting. If that is OFF, you won’t get any output from that jack. Finally, fldigi does not use I/Q

Richard, Can't figure out if you are trolling or not. If you can figure out how to dissipate the heat in the small KX3 enclosure, it could work, but you would have to carry a heavy battery to power it. The KXPA100 is one solution, you can throttle the power back to 30 watts, but you still
