My DMM say only 4.93v on pin 2 of the ACC connector. After calibration,

I have the MCU 02.67 version in my #1366 K3. I have not readily seen any
problems with this version. However today, I have noticed that at various
times that a a loud burst of audio emits for a split second. This is not on
powering up, but with the unit just setting on the desk receiving.

comment was that the audio level was reduced at tighter filter widths. The
factory commented on the effect of the RX EQ on filter gain. The suggestion
was to make sure none of your RX EQ frequencies are set

Thanks for the tip but after going to the RX EQ menu and using the CLR
function as described in the manual I'm left with the same low output
from the 250hz/8pole filter even when maxed at +8dB.

I find the K3 to be just fine on 6 meters. For extremely weak signal work, an
external preamp may be needed. Time will tell. I've used the Flex 5000A, Pro
III and the K3 on 6 meters. As far as signal reception goes, I could not notice
any difference between the 3 rigs. I could A/B/C them. The

At present only the PLL voltage and supply voltage measurements are
affected by the ADC REF calibration. You shouldn't have to re-do any
other calibration steps.

Rose Kopp makes a nice padded case for the radio, but I'm not sure I'd want
to put it inside checked luggage unless it was something like a Pelican
with lots of foam all around..
